Session I : Leadership through InnovationDesign has the potential to ultimately transform the lives of people. Whether in the commercial sector or in the not-for-profit sector, the returns on investment in design can only be ensured by focusing on the value it ultimately delivers to people. Future focused organizations have recognized that innovation is key to success and designers are important members of the teams that can help build a culture of innovation in an organization. Session II : Educating for Design Leadershiphis session will provide an opportunity to discuss how to prepare designers to assume a leadership role and what skills will be required to succeed in the challenges that beckon them in the face of emergence of design as a vital national and international resource. The discussions will also focus on the resources required for strengthening the quality of design education as the infrastructure for design education in India expands.The highlight of the session would be address by industry representatives who considered it necessary to invest in Design education. The session will also explore the opportunities for a collaboration between Design Schools and Industry with the goal of bringing vitality and innovation to various sectors of Indian and global economy. Session IV: Thriving in the competitive marketplace through DesignThis session will focus on sharing the experience of organizations that have ensured business growth by using Design as a core component of their business strategy.MSMEs can be the biggest user of Design provided there is a national and local level support system available to facilitate the Design Services to MSMEs.
